I was asked to volunteer to help a family out and I am here asking if anyone would like to donate to read through this news article first:

Family living in deplorable conditions getting help it needs | www.wsbtv.com

We were able to collectively get DFACS to give us one more week. We have gutted the home - everything had to go - cabinets, vanities, furniture, everything ... and are putting in new insulation and paneling tmw. We tore up the floor and put a new sub floor down. The roof was leaking extensively, but has been fixed.

There has been no drugs, neglect (other than the living conditions), and the only "problem" is the mother is extremely poor. She works two part time maintenance jobs, her husband passed away in 2009 from a massive heart attack and this was just too much for her.

Here is the donation link http://www.oneneed.org (100% of donations go to this re-build effort and to the education of the children - no fees). Type "need 14.14"

You can also contact Amanda (her info is in the news article)

If you can't donate ... cheer us on, this has been bleak and we could use some cheer.

Thanks in advance.

Just an update - This family was reunited this afternoon ... I am wore out from volunteering .. going to bed.

But those kids are permanently with their mom .. case closed.
