I am still learning about CDI myself.
So I found a link and it seems to be answering one of your question. I believe this might be an old information. Some of them disagree what RID have some rules and fight for making better rules. http://www.rid.org/education/testing/index.cfm/AID/89 http://www.rid.org/userfiles/File/CD...orceUpdate.pdf |

I'm definitely interested in becoming a CDI one day. Is there any workshops closer to Kentucky or neighboring states?

Exactly! You have to spend time and money to make a real career. I'm really glad you went out there. My wife has always wanted to be a CDI for the blind but she never followed through with that. She may one day. I will share this thread with her. Thanks for sharing.

jolie.. im not sure about closer to your home state. I m sure one of your friend might know about it or check with RID to see if they have any provide workshop in your area. I have a job already however i d like to learn more for my second job since our hometown syracuse dont have cdi at all. 4 of us who are interested in attending to workshop. One of us have been doing cdi but she is a deaf interpreter so she feels that she needs to be aware as to what cdi is. Sometimes i did as a deaf interpreter at my work and i feel that i need to know more about deaf interpreter rules.
