do your cat/s love

Carrots?

One of my cats go crazy when he hears the carrots bag being open. He came to me right away when his eyes were open wide staring at me. He does not eat the carrots but rubbing, nuzzling and snuggling the carrots! He even rolls over on the floor and he purrs like crazy. It is pretty similiar as what catnips do to cats.

Nice cheap treat. lol

.... I think I need to try this and test both of my cats reactions. I'll get back to you on this lol.

Moo, the female LOVES catnip, and shes the serious one!

Drake, the male doesn't care for it, which is interesting because hes already crazy outgoing.

I eat carrots pretty often and neither of my cats have shown interest.

They love catnip too! Which reminds me I haven't given them any recently -- I'll have to fix that.

My female cat loves tuna. She use to like milk also -- but not since I've change brands. Really. She can taste the difference.

My male cat was rescued from the streets according to the pet shelter that I got him from. Perhaps for that reason the only thing he is interested (other than catnip) is kibble or cat food from a can. Period. He is not interested in any other kind of food. Perhaps it brings back bad memories?

My parents used to have a cockapoo who was crazy for carrots and bananas.

He also liked doughnuts and could climb to the kitchen counter and open an upper level cupboard to obtain them.

But no cat I ever had seemed to show an interest in carrots.

I had some cats and I gave yeast tablets to help keep fleas off them. One of my cat would try to get the box to eat more ! I know a lot of animals love carrots as they're sweet! I guess animals have a sweet tooth too!

bott, everytime you mention cockapoo that has been growing on me. As of right now my kids change their minds. Im glad for it because of football season is in the way. Most of schools or play fields are not allowed dogs to come or play or hang out. cockapoo is on my mind for later. so interesting about your old pet dog loved carrots. wow

i know horses love carrots. once in a while, i left the carrots in the bag on table for my kids lunches. one of my cats jumped and play with it. i had to remove his hair all over on the plastic bag. ha

ladys, let me know how is yoru kitty liking the carrots?

aww yea bring the catnips back, i usually buy catnips for x mas every year so furboys (cats) don't get bored with it if they don't play with it often.

sweet one of your cat got a loving home even though he had strange habits.

It was yeast tablets that you buy at a health food store , not baking yeast!! Baking yeast could make a pet really sick! The yeast tablets I gave to my cats came from a health food store . But you should check with your vet before giving a pet yeast tablets, or any anything meant for people. Baking yeast can made you blow up ! I know ! A friend gave me some baking yeast and I had to go to my cousin 's wedding the same day! When I was at the wedding my sister told me that I was rising like a loaf of bread! My dress was getting too tight and I became very musical but not in a good way!!

Carrots are related to the Rag weed family, but I am not sure it is related to catnip.

Never seen a cat fond of carrots.

I had a dog that loved cat food and I had to keep the cat food on the counter.
But my dog was still eating it and I could not catch her in the act! So I set my dog up! I left the cat food on the counter and pretended to leave the house, I waited a few second and came back in and there was my dog standing on her hind legs eating the food! She was so embarrassed , she got down and held her head down and would not look at me!! She really loved me and knew she I was upset, but not for long!!

I stayed with a sister and her husband for a few days last week, and they have a cat they adopted a few months ago. They told me they were very concerned because it was a "fraidy cat" and refuses to go outside, etc. I told them to try catnip with it, and I got an email from them. They say, My goodness, the cat is so different now! For the first time since they got Smokey the cat, it comes up to them and rubs against their legs and sits close by while they watch tv. They say it is the first time they have heard it purr. It does my heart good to learn this.

Try the new clorophyll-flavored ones. I do think it's brand new -- it says so on the bag. See if your kitties love it as much as the fishy ones.

I have some odd cats. They do not like fish of any kind or milk of any kind. I can't get any treats for food that has either in them. They refuse to eat it and if they do end up eating it, they are sicker than anything I have seen.

We have a selection of Temptations cat treats now, but I haven't seen the clorophyll-flavored ones. Tink will eat most any brand of treat and Sammy will only eat Temptations.

I have never had a cat that liked carrots, but had a cat named Fanny Fairview. Fanny would fight you for canned green peas! She would jump off any available high space and knock them from your hand! I would have to put some in her bowl. She would growl and purrrrrr while eating them.

Weird kitty! Her name came from her odd habit of 'bowing' on her front legs, leaving her fanny in the air, giving a fine view - thus - her name.
