'Sick' Person Wraps Philly Cat in Duct Tape!

Someone completely wrapped a cat in duct tape and dumped her in North Philadelphia on Tuesday.

"Whoever did this is very sick," said George Bengal, director investigations for the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, told ^ABC, as quoted by the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I've never seen a cat totally wrapped like a mummy before."

According to the Inquirer, the female cat, nicknamed Sticky, is doing well after she was sedated so the tape could be cut away with scissors. A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to a conviction.

This provided by the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals' shows a female cat covered in duct tape from head to toe. Medical staff at the Pennsylvania SPCA were able to successfully remove the tape. A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the conviction of whoever wrapped the feline. Say what??.....Why a dog?....would it "be better" to duct tape a dog?...Or even a human being?

People have been known to set animals on fire also, even blinding the animal, many ways of torturing the animal.

People who abuse any animal deserves jail! No matter even if it's a frog! These sickos get a "kick" out of abusing anything helpless.

^ RR I think Sara wanted to say that she has already read online about a dog being duct taped and never about a cat... I'm sure she didn't intend to say that it is good to see a dog duct taped

Duct tape cat: US teen arrested on animal cruelty charges
Duct tape cat: US teen arrested on animal cruelty charges - Telegraph

Quote:
James Davis, 19, admitted to taping up the cat from neck to tail after he spotted it in his yard Sept 21, police said.

He was arrested on Saturday on animal cruelty charges, said a spokesman for the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

A woman spotted the gray tabby wandering, covered in tape, and brought the animal to the human society. The animal, nicknamed Sticky by animal welfare workers, was dehydrated and had to be sedated while the tape was cut off its fur.

But the cat is doing well, animal welfare workers said, adding that they are still looking for Sticky's owner.

Video of the cat after the removal of the tape shows a seemingly happy animal, purring and apparently unafraid of its human handlers.

"This is a very very very sweet cat," George Bengal, of the PSPCA, told Fox News. "I can't imagine someone doing this to this cat. I mean, this is a domestic cat. Obviously, it was owned, it can be handled very easily."

Davis faces up to two years in prison and a minimum $1,000 fine if convicted.

That's sad. That would be extremely painful for a cat to get the duct tape off having all their fur stuck to the tape. If anyone even tried to do that to one of my dogs... wait a minute... they wouldn't have the chance to even attempt it... I'd have them before they had the chance to harm one of my pups.
