I recently came across an article in a newspaper, There is a study being made for cats. What the volunteers are doing, is to go to certain neighborhoods, trap stray cats....spay and neuter them, then release them back ito the neighborhood which they were trapped.
They are "testing" to see if this would work to cut down on the stray cat population....as the cats could not breed/mate....and less fighting...and instead of ethuzing them...they could continue to live in the wild, or someone could take them in as a pet....
I think it's a very good idea!...

but for female - it's tough so it's a good question you asked. the scar can be fully-healed or very difficult to see because nowadays they use super-glue to seal the incision. Here's a thing that what vet usually does for stray - they usually put a little notch on its ear.
