cute pictures. How are you able to afford paying for all those pet needs, what are you? Rich?

to find or do anything to keep them well as much as I love them doesn't necessarily means I'm rich. also being a vet tech helps a lot - see my post. plus, I pay nothing for my dog which costs more than any pet I have here.

Sorry. You could have PMed me yourself.

"poisonous" is the correct spelling.

awwww beautiful pictures...

Snakes?

Do you feed alive mice to snakes? My son's friend own snake as a pet. He breed many mice for his snake... My son described me how and what he witnessed his friend fed mouse to his snake...

You said that Joel killed by poisonous spider. Do you mean that spider ate Joel? It's scary image to picture the spider to eat Joel...

wow, Chinchilla get along well with cats... I alway thought cats hate chinchilla...

laketahoe, it is a little hard if someone doesn't understand they're extremely delicated little creatures (they will die if no enough fruit for two nights or enough heat - MUST above 70 degree in the house - and no rotten fruits) and they can smell badly if not cleaned properly weekly. all in all, they're great fun little nocturnal kids! they're for people who are kinda of owl nights too or you're not giving them the attention they need. you cannot take them out of their 'pouch' bag during daytimes as they ssleep, otherwise their health declines and you will be too late. and thank you.

also to others, thank you!
I remember a friend of mine from college who had a sugarglider. It took time in taking care of this animal but she loved taking care of it and how the sugarglider was a night owl! Active during the night but loves to sleep during the day time. I remember she would walk around with a pouch that the sugarglider would be sleeping, all curled up. It was very cute and delicate..

Mod Note: Pictures fixed. (Thanks to JClarke.)
Fascinating Freckles...I have always wanted a Chinchilla...but was told my cat would eat it for sure. It's nice to see this arrangement works out!

yikes I missed this one too...oops. no I don't feed them alive mice. they're frozen from a market. all fresh and no artificial supplements. I hope your son is feeding them non-alive or his pet snake could get bitten badly. scars don't heal within scales well. what kind snake does your son have? and re: spider - all I know is the spider had bitten joel, I found him lethargically swollen and took him to emergency clinic immediately, there was nothing we could do at that moment and finalized his heart with an injection.

thank you. orion, you could try and see for yourself. unless you know your cat is sort of a predator or terrorist. I was told the same thing. that's just same old stereotype blah. nowadays people STILL ask me if my cats get along with the doggy... or if he had killed one of them.

because of chinchilla's food is in reach of cats (pawing, stretching out into the cage's bowl) I confide him in a room where cats aren't allowed in (and for our allergic guests too). goes the same for rats. and they all play together where cats are allowed. under supervision always!! you should do the same.

Very cute pets there. I'm amazed to see a pet snake on the tree outside that is covered with snow on branches.
