Dog Court, be a judge!!!

My mom told me she gave Britney away to some people...

Those people bought her because she was already spayed, got shots, healthy, and house trained.

Every once a week I picked up the poop and I took her bath.
But my nephew won't take any responsibiltiy... I paid some money
on Britney, toys, vet bills, foods and stuff.

I did clean up after Britney when there is an accident on the rug...
my mom had to sweep the grass and hair off the floor everyday.
I know it is her house.

My Nephew played with Britney, but most of the time he spent time
playing on gameboy and playstation.

And plus my Nephew is now in Washington... and he will be back next summer.

My mom sold the dog without my nephew and my permission...

Can I go to the people's house and take my dog back?
Do I have the right to?

I would be pissed if my mom ever got rid of my dog. I don't think it would be wrong to go to whoever bought the dog and offer them their money back in exchange for the dog, however, you need to keep in mind that it's your moms house.

Well I told my mom Britney can stay outside. I promise her that I won't bring the dog inside, even though it is raining, or freezing or very hot out there...

But she said Yeah Right.

Question:

Who adopt Britney in first place?

If it's you who adopt Britney then... other question: Did you ask your mother for the permission before you adopt Britney?

Who owns the dog?

If your mom owns the dog, then she has every right to do what she wants with it.

To leave a dog outside like that is pretty harsh.

Not really.

Most Australians leave their dogs outside 24 hours for the rest of dog's life, except me as I am the same as the British's.

Australian Dog Owners must supply a Kennel for their Outdoor dog, otherwise the RSCPA Animals control will give them a ticket.
Don't matter if the dog never used it as long it is still there.

I agree, Leaving a dog outside when it's hot, humid, snowing, cold, raining, freezing is very harsh, poor dog to have an owner like her.

My dog is an indoor dog, He only goes outside when he has to use the potty, or if we are outside for fun.

Who bought this dog in the first place? Why did you guys have her if you knew that dog is going to live up to 10+ years. Does your mom think it is fair to keep a dog up to four years and then let's say. I don't want to keep her anymore because Brittany is a bad dog. Let's dump her at the humane soceity and someone will take care of her. She is treating this dog like an object where it can be toss out like old-ugly paint picture.

When people are thinking about bringing a puppy or kitten home, often they do not think about how they will take care of it for next 10 years. They have not thought about responsiblity to take care of a dog. They only fall in love with them because they were cute. Now they don't love them anymore because they got bigger and too much of work.

Liebling, my nephew adopted the dog. My nephew told my mom that he won't
come home unless he bring the puppy home... he cried and had temper tantrum. So my mom let him bring the puppy home.

Vamp, Me, mom, and my nephew own the dog.

My dog loves to stay outside... even when it was cold, she wanted to stay outside.

Cheri, poor dog have a owner like me? are you calling me an unfit master?
I feel sorry for your children, the way you smoking around them, and
giving them bad health.

Angel, I don't want to kill my dog, why you say that? You don't know me at all.

Cane, we didn't bought the dog, the puppy was found on the street. We took it home. That was me and my nephew's plan to keep the dog forever...
But my mom gave it away to somebody...
She said that it is at a better place... better home...
She thought I would be in California a long time and my nephew has
to stay in Washington State forever too... she doesn't want to take
care of the dog.
I still love that dog as my child.

And if I have my own house, I would keep a dog forever.

I'm sorry if I came out a bit too harsh in my original post. I guess I didn't get enough information, I thought your mom bought the puppy home and then decided not to keep it anymore. I'm pretty senstive when someone does that. I have dealt with rescue animals. I hate seeing them at the shelter because their pervious owners made too many excuses why they couldn't keep.

Maybe you and your mom need to discuss whatever is the best for Brittany and her long term future. Whether you guys can keep her or find her a forever home.

Well I believe some of those dogs are better off in the dog pound...
the WORKERS there take very good care of those dogs... I went
to the dog pound last week, they did a good job...

There is nothing wrong with dog pound.

While I was there, a dog catcher took in a starving skeleton dog...
and I know that the workers will take very good care of it... and
make sure it is well fed.

My old NEIGHBORS mistreated their dog... they chained their dog
in the backyard by the fence... and it was pouring rain for days....
And it was shivering... I felt so sorry for it...
So I CALLED THE DOG POUND AND TELL THEM TO COME GET THIS
DOG!!!!! The Dog Rescuers asked for my name, I TOLD THEM I AM
NOT GOING TO TELL THEM my NAME, because I DON'T WANT
my NEIGHBORS to get ANGRY with me!!!
So the DOG RESCUERS came and they took the dog away
and I WAS SO HAPPY!!!!!

Again, there is nothing wrong with DOG POUND, cause some dogs
are better off living in dog pound than to be with people who don't
care about these dogs and mistreat it.

My MOM is NOT an ANIMAL LOVER... I hope she did put the DOG
in a good place with someone who love ANIMALS.
I tried to talk to her, but she won't listen, she is too stubborn.

Quick question real quick... If you feel that the neighbors having their dog outside is mistreatment, then why would it be different if you did it with your nephews dog?

I have a DOG HOUSE, I HAVE a BIG PATIO with PATIO COVER, I put a DOG MAT on the PATIO, with a big dog dish full of dog food and another dog dish with WATER!!!!

My friend told me to put some HAY in the dog house for the winter to keep my dog warm... And I even bought Dog Clothes...

My dog can run around the yard, happily and free.

But my NEIGHBORS, they chained their dog in one spot for 3 days near the fence... no food, no water, rain was pouring down, no dog house,
no patio, nothing... just NOTHING...
poor dog... had to sit on it own poop and pee for days....
Nobody play with it, nobody hug it, and it was 1 year old.

I am the better owner.... I will never never never ignore my dog's needs. I always go outside and play with my dog,
and cuddle and kiss and give my dog attention and love...
I love animals.

No, I never said that shelter is "bad," but many were dumped by their pervious owners for stupid reasons. They didn't abuse their dogs in any cruel ways, but they would say I'm moving, I can't take the dog. This dog destoryed my shoes, I don't have the time for the dog, this dog is not housebroken, untrainable, etc.

That is what pisses me off.

Since your mom wouldn't listen to you, you can tell her that you want to interview people who are interested in Brittany. You might want to ask some questions to people who are interested in her such as.

1. Why are you interested in Brittany?
2. The next 10 years, do you think you will be able to provide Brittany a permant home?
3. If you are moving, would you take her with you?
4.. Where will she be living? Indoor? Outdoor?
5.. If Outdoor, what would you provide?
6. Would you not mind if I can do home inspect to make sure that your home is safe for her?
7. If you plan to keep Brittany indoor, you will need a crate to housebreak her. Do you plan to get one?
8 If you refuse to do house inspect, can you tell me whether do you have a fence yard? How tall and how big?
9. If there is no fence, how will you keep her in the yard?
10. Do you plan to enroll an obedience class with Brittany?
11. If you no longer want her, you have the first option to contact me to see if I want her back.

If Brittany hasn't been spayed, make sure to get her done before going to her new home.

Thanks.
