I just got a call from my hubby telling me that Kim, our soon to be 3 years old cat was rushed to Vet today. The open wound directly her underarm and lost part of her left ear and suspect that Kim was attacked by a neigbor's dog. The Vet examined and confirm my hubby's suspect that it's a dog attack but we can't claim against neighbor because we have no proof either it's his dog or not. We know that he allows his dog in his property but it could be happened when Kim went his property. (Kim is a wild cat and like to escape out of our house to outside when one of us open the door...) I noticed that Kim like to being outdoor to indoor cat. We tried to keep her as indoor cat like other 3 cats but it doesn't work because Kim alway escaped out of the house and property and went to neighbors properties... She once carried "koi" (expensive fish) to our house and ate it but we don't know who koi belongs to. :Ohno:

Anyway, the Vet have Kim's open wound underarm stitches together and restore her damage ear. My hubby talked the vet to try do anything to save Kim instead of put her sleep. She tried her best and said if it doesn't work then she has to put her sleep... It hurts me when my hubby described me in mobile phone. I know she is an unfriendly cat to anyone in family and friends except me but we love her dearly... :tears:

I am worry and hope that Kim is okay... She is still in the Vet... I am going to straight to see her after work. It is still 10 minutes go then I leave office for go to the Vet. I will talk to the Vet how to keep Kim as indoor cat like our other 3 cats.

I will know more when I am at the Vet and home from work....

Same exampe picture of my neighbor's dog "hunter or hunting dog".

Update

Thank you all for your support and thoughtful.

I went straight to the Vet after work yesterday. I feel hurt and :tears: when I saw Kim suffering impression.

The Vet told me that Kim is very lucky to be survive and explained that if it's deep/severe open wound to affect ribs then she has to put sleep because of toxicity. She said that Kim's open wound is not bad, not too deep. She gave her shot to protect toxic and stitched her open wound together. It's 18 stitches and restored part of her ear together but just lost piece of her ear. She said that Kim is a strong cat and can defend herself good from attack. She lost few of her nails - it look like that she scratched dog real hard to defend her life.

I asked her how to train Kim as indoor cat like other 3 cats but Kim is one who is stubborn cat of all my cats. The vet explained that all the cats are not the same. Some cats like being indoor cats, some not. As long as we have fence and gate is safety for the pets. We have to keep trying to keep Kim as indoor cat and will allow her to stay outside at our property as long as we are at outside.

See this pictures...

omg that's horrible.. I hope the cat has quick recovery! It's awful to see your furbabies suffering like that.

Aww poor kitty, breaks my heart to see how bad it was.. I'm a cat lover myself Liebling, so I know exactly what youre feeling there, I'm sorry that kim got attacked hon, glad to know she is home with you guys again, and knowing that the vet is able to help her....

Yes, the stitches from underarm to half of chest. The Vet said that it could be that Kim lost her arm if she can't defend from dog's attack. She defend herself that she only have open wound... If not, lost arm to dog. It's scary when the Vet told me.

It's worst when my hubby described the happened what and how he withnessed Kim cries for pain when she came to our front door... My son called the Vet and then rushed to the Vet with my hubby.

We will bring Kim to the Vet for control again on Friday.

Ouch I'm sorry about your cat, Liebling, it is a good thing she did survived the dog attack and the surgery as well... I hope your cat Kim a speedy recovery..
