Bad Pet Owners "Photos/Stories Only"

I thought of creating a thread, giving pet owners idea of getting a pet is a major decision and a huge responsible comes along with it. It's not the same as buying a play station 2, or clothes, etc. Buying a pet does not mean how cute the puppy is or how cute the kitten is, it's a lifetime commitment of "Are you ready to take care of an animal’s needs?" That's the important question you need to ask yourself before buying a pet. This thread is to show them how, and why those animals been through the cruelty and neglect of irresponsible owners, because they're complaining that they don't have enough money for pet food, don't have a shelter, don't have money vet costs. Animals depend on us, attention, time, money a space for their home. Those things are very important, if you don't have time for your pet, money, a space, can't give them enough attention, then you're better off without owning a pet. It's not about how "aww", it's about responsibilities .

Here's are some pictures of bad pet owners treated their animals...These pictures are from Ohio SPCA.

(bad space to hold a dog)

(poor dog covered with fleas)

(neglect, no food)

(chain to a tire)

(Filthy food bowl)

(Poor horse not receiving proper care case of neglect)

Anyone is welcome to share their stories, their feedback's their photos of their state's SPCA. Thank you for having the time in reading this, This is a very important message to first time buyers, previous buyers.

What happen if owners don't give a treatment to dogs that have full of fleas then would be pass away for too many fleas?

Yes, a pet can die from a result of too much fleas, if not treated with antibiotic and shampoo. Fleas are bloodsucker sucks the blood out of pets, leaving disease too.

Sad to see pictures here.

I really wish All Fast Food Chains donated their over-cooked foods to these animals rather than destory unused foods!

My daughter told me her fast food resturant only grill meat burger in hot grill for up to 15 minutes, if its not sold by customers, it MUST discard to the BIN for Health reason. - Good idea, but I feel it should towards to hungry animals!!! Why Waste!!

Already post my story about my Chow Chow dog

Quote:
I want to share about the dog that we lost due to the courthouse.

That dog was a Chow Chow and German Sherperd mixed breed, color is white, his name was Shadow. He was very playful but wasn't safe for children, I believe. That time I was about 8, he bite me alot. I remember he pushed me on the floor and he was biting me as much as he can, just because I pull his tail. I was very young that time.

Also our fence was not really keep Shadow in the backyard, someday happened Shadow escaped from our backyard, and killed Japanese Spainel (or Chin, only 10 inches tall), he bite a little dog's hip and that dog died. The owner of that little dog sued my parents for that. So my parents went to the courthouse, and the courthouse gave us two choice, kill Shadow or kick Shadow out of the county (not country, the COUNTY). My parents choose to kick him out of county, I still remember to watch the police come to our house and pick Shadow up.

That dog was very beautiful and guardian, if we could fix the fence properly, that would never happens. I miss that dog and wish that kind of thing never happens. My mom also cried about losing Shadow.
I am not sure if we was a bad owners, but we did feed him, brush his hair, giving him water, having him his own place to sleep, everything, except the fence. We was delaying fixing the fence and Shadow had been escape several times till he finally killed a Japanese Chin dog. Since we lost Shadow, we learned our lesson to fix the fence immedately (NO matter which kind of dogs they are, ANY dogs can make problems for other neighbors).

I felt so qulity about that Japanese Chin, a beatiful little dog. The owner of Japanese Chin said that the Japanese Chin was barking at Shadow while Shadow was wandering their yard, the owner was run to grab the Japanese Chin, but too late the Shadow bite Japanese Chin's hip, then shaking his head while having Japanese Chin in his mouth, the owner was too scared to stop him.

We felt VERY VERY VERY stupid about not fixing the fence. I don't know if we are a bad owners, but about the fence, I would have to agree.

PuyoPiyo, Your family aren't bad owners, but irresponsible for not repairing the fence, or secure the dog on your property, Your family made a mistake, a lesson was learned. Hope it won't happen again.

Pacman, I said that time I was about 8, so that was 12 years ago. So it's too late, we already learn our lesson, the fence is important part for dogs. I would never put my dog in leash, that is so offense, no thank you, I prefer to have a fence that dog can run around freely.

Yupp we learned our lesson big time, and would never have a lousy fence for our dog ever again Since we had second dog, a Beagle breeding, it's very rare for our dog to run away from our backyard. Beagle is one of famous ran away dogs because of its smelling curiousity.

Yeah I will not let that happen again.

Yes... you are right.. fleas are bloodsuckers... even can kill animals... Vet told me that fleas bite on dogs and any animals and suck blood in order they hatch their eggs after sucking blood...

Thats why i take very good care of cats... get flea mediciations from vet to kill all fleas...

When I saw the picture, I knew this is a puppy mill/ petstore. It explains why puppies were not being taken care of. All puppies and kittens come from puppy farms and they are being kept like this way. I'm not kidding. This is not because they are being a bad owner, they are breeding dogs, horses, and cats for a profit. They do not care much about the health of these animals. They are not a typical farmer who keep animals healthy and clean.

Beware not for people with weak stomach

Very sad thread here

I just cannot beleive how selfish the owners are. Pick new pets to enjoy to treat them as toy until they are fed up then throw them away... They treat the pets like toys with no feeling that animals and humans have the same feeling... It hurts me really a lot.

The people should think twice before adopt the pets and treat them as their own family instead of treat them as toy. If they are unsure to be the pet owner then wait until they are 100% sure after search cons/pros before adopt the pets.
