This is Turok: The Dinosaur Hunter

I wrote her some prose - My cat dared to beseech my domicile, so my rage was fierce, and commanding. Many a moon has passed since the desolate days of Christ, but never have I witnessed such an infraction. My senses are now keen to vibrations, and a camera sits affixed upon my wall, for this beast is like the thunder; and I am weary of its boom.
