Well, that KID is stupid enough to put dead mouse on his stomach. You know... they smell food like that boy put mouse on that spot in the 1st spot then moved mouse to different 2nd spot so snake smelled that mouse on 1st spot so snake bit on that 1st spot, not 2nd spot where mouse is at. It can happen. Most reptile owners isn't stupid enough to put on their stomach or whatever, they'll just normally drop mouse inside cage.

I never said anything like that. You are jumping to conclusions. I am just stating my opinion here and back it up with proof. I think you are trying to start something here and I will not have it. Have a good day.

You read too much into the situation. I am just stating my opinion based on my experience. I have had Deaf friends tell me about their pet snakes getting out of the cage during the night time and in one instance, the snake almost tried to strangle my friend and he had to go into the kitchen in the middle of the night and cut the snake off of his neck and afterwards he had nightmares of the snake attacking his face and he said he still can see the snake attack his face the whole time the snake was trying to strangle him and he had to save his own life.

Hi LuciaDisturbed, See what I mean about you jumping on the bandwagon and following the crowd. You have to think for yourself. People will respect you if you do not follow the crowd. I never follow the crowd. I always think for myself. People on AllDeaf know that I do not follow the crowd. I am my own person and will stand my ground when ever necessary but I am also here to have fun too as well. I am not here to win friends at all either plus why should I when I have good friends that stick closer than a brother would. You could learn something good about that quality from me.

Just cause I thought it was funny doesn't mean I'm jumping on the bandwagon.

That's crazy.... I do understand that you don't want to keeping a snake as pet. That's your choose. But, I know about the snakes is that owners suppose to put the rat or mouse in the cage so they can eat them up. That boy is very immature enough to being stupid to doing that.

If you are going to have a snake in my house then I will make sure the snake cage is really locked up and sealed at night because we do not need lost snakes roaming the house while we are sleeping, Of course This is an example. It will be in a steel enclosure with very tiny holes where the snake can't even fit its head through much less the snake's mouth at all, That way the snake can't break the window glass commonly seen when I visit a Deaf friend's home. I would say Nice to look at but I would not want to have one for myself. Maybe my kids might want one someday and they will have to be non-posionous snakes too.

OK heath this makes no sense it can't be a steel enclosure unless ur trying to kill the snake there is no way that uva light could get through steel and the steel would heat up to much and cause the snake to bake to death. snakes can't break glass cages i don't know who ever told you that. But it's literly impossible unless the cage is so tiny u break it putting the snake in. The only way a snake could ecscape is a careless act of not locking the top of the cage which wouldn't be the snakes fault but the humans. Please i'm begging u even if ur kids want a snake don't get one because from what i've been seeing the snake would live a misreable very short life followed by a horific death

The snake does not need light at night. The snake can sleep in there just like in the wild. The living room would of have been air conditioned. I have heard of snakes breaking glass cages and it has also been reported on the nightly 6 o ' clock t.v. news. People have made sure to lock their snakes and the snake escaped because the cage was not secure enough ( glass, metal bars etc. ) and Wildlife wardens and their assistants always use steel enclosures to bring a rattlesnake in or a boa constrictor in. The kids can have a small non-posionous snake and what makes you think that the snake would live a short life followed by a horrific death

Small snakes can't break thru glass, but big snakes like python, boas, ancondas can. Make sure you make it clear next time, Heath.
