*chuckles* I never forget that time when my second ex husband and me went to visit Great Smokey Mountain with two friends. We visited Cape Cove ( I think) anyway we stopped and rested for little bit. I was standing and stretch. All of suddenly there was a squirrell came down by the tree and walked toward to me. I was stretching and saw it stared at me. I stop stretched and thought to try to feed it. I kneed down and the squirrel tried to come to me while I fed it. But darn my friend scared us both and i cussed my friend out "Get the f**kin' out of here or I would whip you arse" He just laughed at me. But lucky that his friend took a pix of me feed the squirrel. I have it in my book. I never forget that. I cussed my friend oh my god embarrassed that the sherriff was behind and heard me cussed. Omfg lol

Yeah My hubby and I once feed a real young squirrel. I assumed the mother was killed? anyway we fed him. We called him a fying squirrel lol.. anyway he used to live in our garage with a small kennel wrapped up in towel to keep him warm at night time.. he was staying for like a month then he left on his own.

I did until I saw a horde of them ripping my garden plants apart.. they grabbed still unripened strawberries and just threw them on the ground, w/o eating. They pulled buds, leaves, run around tipping the pots over. climbed on dahlias breaking their stems in the process,
and that's when I realised I caused this to myself- they came looking for food. So I stopped feeding them and after the while things went back to normal- occasional squirell just passing by. I probably would feed them again if was living at some farm house. But I was living in townhome with just a little patio.. Fuzzy |
