Wow, that was a good video of the animals suffering. I understand how it goes. I don't like when people hurt animals and also population need to be under control for the animals, too. It's really sad, indeed.

That was very educational... Even though I have two cats being neutured when they were kitten, but just watching that video just makes me really sad and I hope other people will take good care of the animals and be wise about it, ya know?

>>>But we are gonna breed her ONCE then spay her. <<<
May I ask what for? If you think it's good for her, it isn't. A bitch does not have to have puppies ONCE to be healthy. It is a myth.

If you hope to make money off her, think again- you should know first of all that you probably have no way of knowing if your dog and/or the possible father carry any bad genes that may affect their offspring.
You should make these lab tests to determine if you dog is indeed healthy to breed, and does not carry any undesirable traits. You probably won't..

Because that costs a lot of money. But if you don't do that you dog may have puppies that later will grow into sickly adults or aggressive adults.
I have a dog like that- a home breed Aussie who is blind in one eye and which eye is now filled with blood- from a genetic trait characteristic for this breed. Both parents were "so heatlhy" !!! no cure for this eye except removing it.

Another Aussie I have is fear aggressive toward other dogs and it is not pleasant to go for leash off area with him and yet we must because it is Aussie it has to run freely a lot.

So please think twice about wanting to breed your dog, please, and also look up Google for your breed and see if they have any "rescue".
You might think because you have pure breed then you will readily find for them homes- which is another question- are you sure you will be able to find GOOD homes for all puppies?- but just because a dog is purebreed might not ensure finding him a home that easily.

I have pure breed Aussies, not with "papers" but purebreed nevertheless, and look at the rescue:

http://aussierescue.leepfrog.com/

just see how many of beautiful Aussies is homeless.. still purebreed..

BTW I think it is safe to assume that it is exactly the same with cats if not worse because cats breed much easier than dogs.

May I ask you some questions about your bitch who is a purebreed.
What kind of dog is she?
Why do you want to breed her?
What has she proven to be worthy?
Do you have customers lined up already?
What if one of your customers doesn't want the puppy anymore, what will you do?
Have you tested your bitch for OFA, SAS, other health problems?
Do you rescue?
Do you know how to whelp puppies?
Do you know what you need to prepare for having a litter? A den and a heat lamp.
Do you know when your bitch needs a break from nuturing her puppies?
Do you know the danger of using a stud to breed your bitch?

We're doing the same thing but not only cause she's pure breed because she's not gun shy she has amazing hunting skills she is a poodle which means she's hypo-allergenic her disposition is amazing she is always happy never agressive we have little kids who pull her ears sleep on her and jump on her back and she stands there and just goes along with everything she even lets the cat beat her up. The sire we breed her with is also and amazing hunter and very friendly dispostion these puppies will be amazing and will be going to good homes or staying with us

P.S if the owners can't keep them they must come back to us no exceptions

wel... just be sure this is what you want..

""An intact pair of dogs and their offspring are capable of producing 4,372 puppies in seven years; an unsterilized pair of cats and their offspring may produce as many as 420,000 kittens in the same amount of time!""

""Cats are what is known as "induced ovulators", like rabbits--this means that the act of mating stimulates ovulation. A female cat can literally have a litter of kittens every 63 days.""

Please re-think if it is worth to produce so many puppies to get just one good hunting dog. Maybe they are as good homless, waiting for you to rescue dogs waiting at your local shelter?

I just had my pure bred tiny toy poodle spayed. When I went to pick her up, my stepson informed me that this (the shelter) was where his mother had brought their kittens (not sure if it was the first or second litter, since his mother was too damn cheap to spay their cat) when she couldn't find homes for them. Unfortunately, while we were in the shelter picking up my dog, someone came in with a box full of kittens and the woman at the desk was informing her of what would happen to the kittens if they were not adopted within a timely manner. As we were leaving, my stepson asked me "what is euthanasia?" *gasp* I think he put 2 and 2 together and realized what his mother had done.

lolol you must have tought I hit a rock bottom being rude

No really, this word just mean a female dog and it is commonly used when reffering to dog sex, even books and TV shows use that word.
It is when people use it as a swear word it's bad.

It's sad!!

I am glad I had my puppy JoJo spayed in January.. I don't want her have NO puppies.. She is beautiful Yellow Lab with little Boxer in. Also I have another dog, he is Australia Shepherd/Dingo mixed, he's more like Dingo, but I am glad he got neutured when he was puppy.

I felt like we have TOOOO many cats and dogs. No one doesn't care for them, and they are on the streets and wandering outside and they get pregnant. When you get pet, cat or dogs, or if they are purebreed or registered AKA... They NEED to get spay or neuture ASAP when they turn 6 months old. It's not that expensive to get your pet to the vet and their their done.
