Orphaned baby squirrel briefly adopted by a dog family

I always like reading those articles where one animal takes care of another animal of different species. For example: this baby squirrel, orphaned, was cared for by mommy dog and her puppies. Aww....those stories always melts my heart (and any animal lover's heart!)

Here's the article: After goodbye visit, squirrel moves on

Enjoy!

Aww very sweet story....I remember a story about a dog found a baby, and brought it back to the house and took care of the baby until someone heard a sound of a baby crying....I was speechless when I heard that the dog was actually taking care of the baby....Amazing!

Oh, yes, I think I remember that story. If I recall rightly the dog was homeless, but there's a happy ending for her - after she rescued the baby, a family adopted her! That was so cool.

Awwww, anybody got a link to the dog and baby story?

Anyway, this one's adorable. I found 2 baby squirrels once. It was a hot day, and I knelt down...one of them crawled right to my shadow and laid down to rest. Then it actually let me pet its little back. I'm not sure what happened to them...I'm worried they were so weak that they may have died even though some girls took them to a vet. If that's the case, I hope I at least helped to make one of them a little happier.

Yes it was a spray dog and she already had puppies, but found a baby somewhere in the woods I believe, I couldn't remember whether the dog took the baby back to the owner's home, but after reading the story again, now I remember it was the owner's shed, it's been quite a while since I've read that story, but it was one of the amazing story I've ever read in a long time...

I really enjoy reading stories like this, cause it just make you think twice about your own pet, someday, it could happen to yours...
