I'm sure your dogs would love them but they won't last long!

Chinchillas are sooooo cute! I love to watch them roll in powder to "bathe" themselves.

They are rodents, so they need a lot similar care and equipment like hamsters and gerbils. I wouldn't let the dogs play with them if I were you. Especially if you have terrier breed dogs. Terriers are bred to hunt small animals.

My cat ate chinchilla babies when they were born. I was so upset to try to save rest of other two alive but they died. One baby only alive up to 6 months due to break the neck. We adopted sister and brother chinchillas when they are adults. I realized, they were not friendly with us. We took care of them for four years and gave them away.

Yes, they are very adorable and fluffy fur. I love to watch them roller over in the bathe power. I was so disappointed, we can't hold them on our arm or hands. They weren't friendly because we adopted them too older pet.

I have no clue about the dog would be get along with the chinchilla. My cats love to watch them. Their paws try to reach them into the cage to get chinchillas. They ran into the fish tank. they ran very fast !!

my sister and her family have chinchilla a black one named pippin

i saw him for first time last month for my niece birthday party
and he climbed up on me aww cute will see him again this sat he is scared of too many ppl not my sister or her family

I took care of a chinchilla one summer at work some years ago, I really enjoyed taking care of it and watching it taking its powder bath like everyone in here has mentioned, ha. They're cute and cuddly, but they're very skittish around people.

Yes, I´m agree with anyone here that chinchillas are sooooo cute. I often saw them everywhere at pet shops... A lot of people loves to own them... I would love to but I have 2 cats... Look at Sabrina´s post...
