Why some people are afraid of black cats???

I consider black cats so beautiful and I would love to own 2 of them someday. But some people think that black cats r back luck or that they are part of the evil group. I don't believe that. Black cats r just like other cats.. no different about that. God has created every animals including cats. Isreal banned black cats also for the same reasons.

That's really insane for somebody who want to scared of a black cat, because it's a bad day for on Oct 31 or on the show *sabrina something like that* that black cat cats, they think black cats are just giving bad luck.. ooh come on that's really insane!!! Im living with 2 black cats and i don't think they are just a evil.. they are much cuter in black and beauty!!

I'm too crazy about kittens/cats... it doesn't matter of its color... I've go a black... well not entirely black, but I'd love to own several black cats some day! Heh. Cats are so cute!

Kinda silly to worry anything about supersition.

I used to have a black cat. Blacker than the midnight sky, with these huge emerald eyes. Her name was Sophie. I'll see if I can't find a pretty picture to post here. She was a good kitty. Had her moments where she did NOT want to be bothered, but for the most part, she was a sweetheart.

Peoples are fear about supersition.. "black cat" affect them bad luck due under the ladder. Which it's myth!

During the Halloowen Day, Best for everyones keep your black cat stay inside.. don't let go outside that day of Oct 31. So Many Teenagers who want to murder Black Cat and to make looks DEVILISH Star symbol. It's stupid!

Beautiful Black Cat... Looks so soft fur and shiney eyes sparkles green or hazel or orange-brooze color.

Still cute anyway!

Seriously, I grew up loving cats -- and I owned 3 black cats in the '90's -- remmy that Java? One of them was yours as well -- Billie. I miss them all -- Halloween was the darling mother cat I was given while living in Los Angeles and brought her back to northern California along with another cat (tabby) called Sobriety.

Halloween had kittens and I kept 2 of them -- Billie and Marlena. Java had Billie for a while and I took care of her cat when she had to leave town for a while.

Me <----- a black cat owner. Myself, won't believe in bad luck and superstition for be around any black cat. But, I was told that I better protect my black cat on every Halloween. Some idiots are quest to find a black cat for stupid ritual. Sound very cruelty to me, because all black cats are just animal.

It is silly when people are scared of black cats really....i think they associate them with witches like children would haha...
I used to have a black cat named Domino cuz she had a white spot on her neck heh...she was a real sweetheart..she passed away due to old age.

Superstition or not, there certainly a number of people in this world that do take it quite seriously when it comes to black cats and like Lasza mentioned, there's a few that will seek black cats for their own bloodthirsty rituals which is most definitely cruel and outrageous!

We have a black kitty that's almost 6 months old now...blimey darn thing seems to be full of energy all day long!

Although, it's cute and sure purrs like a Mack truck...anyone could feel his purring by the roaring vibrations!

Eh its what the ppl believe. They crazy man. My grandmother in mexico use to have a black cat and I called him Chico. Awesome cat really Awesome. He always hang around knows how to chill. Sleeps on my bed or on my chest

its cool. But last thing I heard that someone killed him cuz he was in someone's house. Bastards. Coolest cat I ever known.
