And our Shih Tzu is black also. I never manage to get good pictures. She always looks like a little black blob. The only thing I can think of is outside in bright sun, but she isn't normally doing something cute with my camera at the ready then.

Black Blob is right. Only time I see some color is when she has her tongue out. We just got home from the groomer. My hubby and I always bet on how long she will keep the bows in. Usually only last about 10 minutes. We are over an hour now, and the bows are still there. But...she is sleeping!!!
Good luck with Zoey!!! |

The rescue got her as a stray, so she seems to be very afraid of getting abandoned or lost.

I think the poodle half was almost certainly a miniature as she is not a tiny dog.

My first dog of my very own was a cockapoo, and he was incredibly smart. He lived to be 17 years old. Since that time I have seldom been without a dog.

Marley never leaves my side except at night when she sleeps in her kennel. I actually get sick to my stomach planning any trips cos I do not want to leave her. Since I got sick, she is such a part of me. I could leave my old dog at a border and he was so excited. I can't do that with Marley she shakes really bad just going to the groomer. We want to go to Maui for our 25th this October but what do I do with Marley? I know some places will let me bring her, but this trip my hubby should get ALL of my attention. Hahaha

So, so true Bott. I think we will just have to go somewhere that I can take her with. My daughter watched her overnight about a month ago. I texted her about 20 times to see if Marley was ok. All my kids either work or go to school, so I can not leave her with them. They would be the only ones I "mignt" consider. Even then, it would have to be a very short trip. My hubby is really attached to her too. He keeps telling me how well she did when I was in the hospital for a month but I was unconscious. I could never do that if I was alert.
