Book to Movie Question

I am looking for a movie that is about being Deaf but it needs to also be a book.

In a class I am taking we have to have the book and movie so we can read/watch both and compare how each impacted personally to us.

Any help would be great!

Thank You

Try "The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter" starring Alan Arkin The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter (1968) and the book The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
