The Prisoner returns!

I loved the original. I'm curious about the remake but it can never replace the original series for me.

The original series, which premiered on CBS in 1968, ran only 17 episodes. Number Six was a political prisoner in a lovely village, but his captors were rarely seen, and he was never certain what it was they wanted from him. Other residents were equally enigmatic. The six-part miniseries is expected to premiere in 2009.

I just watched the entire series a couple years ago on DVD.

A few years ago, I was watching a show on television talking about popular classic television shows. One show got my attention. I forgot about it until a couple years later when I thought about it, but couldn't remember the show until a friend of mine told me. From that point on, I rented it and watched it back-to-back. Whew! Good show!

The remake should be interesting!
