Went old school and watched E.T. last night. Sure brought childhood memories!

Good movie, I agree.
I didn't get to see the last part but if my memory serves me correctly, Angelina Jolie's character reflected on her real life as a youngster. She said she wanted to play the role of Lisa.

^^ must try source these
Also the revenant is a bloody good film , it reminds me of Pulp fiction because of the way it make violence 'too real' (no, i like it im saying whats been said about it) or 'too violent' which i disagree, Tarantino simply try to remove that numbness associated with cinematic violence, AND poke fun making some of the film really funny, mixing extremee violence and making is funny - indeed he did so. so back to The Revenant i was turning in my stomuch watching some scenes of spewing out embalming, sucking blood from victims....it was gross , GROSS!! the way the cinematography was done (again, it reminded me off Pulp Fiction), to show the sucking of the blood for survival was depicted as UNROMANTIC, UNSEXY as does in many dracula, vampire genres... this film was really something, sci-fi disguised as horror-comedy with a drop or two of realistic drama...it was an outstanding blend. Id give it a A. How or why it not widely known or popular sure beats me. Guess the crowd cant handle rawness of the gross factor, the black comedy stirred in for good measure...with drop of dramas enriching the aroma of this blend. Seriously, this has to be the best Horror/comedy ive seen in 2011 (although a bit old being at 2009 for its release..) Glad i saw it! Bloody entertaining!! <<pun intended.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes...
not too bad... bit predictable though but not bad, some might bitch about lots of inaccuracies but remember its just Hollywood, they specialise in Bullshit movies...had fun watching it so, id give it B++ bordering to A--

Watched Tim Burton's Coraline, then we watched a DVD of the Celtic Women. Too bad it wasn't captioned, but at least I remembered all the songs and the music. Got chills through it.

I found the rise of planet of the apes to be somewhat interesting blend of traditionality (if theres a such a word) and opinionated historical tranjectoration towards the origion of the Panet or the Apes....put in a slighty different angle, it reinforces the idea that POTA isnt not a product of a parrallel universe...whiile embodying animal rights, evolution matters as a codified aspect to represent dogmatic hgegemonic translation of dominant ideologies, examples including sexism, ageism, even class...even RELIGION !! (as some of you may also be aware of its distorted beliefs of 'God"...heck this itsself could be argued as a metaphor of humans race's errors in thinking of univerise's origins..

yes!, see the revenant, it is quite refreshing, even go get Daybreakers..bloody good too
normally i think vampire files are boring, but thus far, exceptions are 'an interview with a vampire', Daybreakers and most recently, the revenant... you'd then agrree these are 'hits' amongst vampire genres.
