I know Children of a Lesser God, and Mr. Holland's Opus, and one or two others. But anybody else got some names of movies with deaf people or about deaf culture?

There are so many movies that has deaf people in it and far few from it, There's few that are revolved around deaf culture.

VamPyroX has gave you an excellent suggestion - Search it up on imdb.com and you will get lists of movies that contains deaf people or regarding to deaf culture.

There's one that comes to my mind - "Love is never silent". I'd recommend this one. :)

You try IMdb.com?

Do a keyword search for "deaf". :)

Keep in mind, the results of the keyword search varies on what is typed in. Some movies have better use of keywords than other movie. For instance, one movie might have a 30 second scene of a deaf guy running in, signs out a bad word, then runs off. Yet, they add "deaf" as one of the keywords in the movie. Was it really a deaf-related movie? Not really.

Whatever results you get, read the synopsis to get a better idea of whether the movie is really deaf-related or not. :)

'The heart is a lonely hunter' , it is about two deaf men that are friends.
I love this movie and book.

Sooo I read this thread first, and then watched Mr. Holland's Opus. The part where they're talking to the audiologist when their son was being diagnosed was almost exactly like our experience with our own son's diagnosis. Except with women. Hahahahahaha....

GREAT MOVIE: "See What I'm Saying: The Deaf Entertainers Documentary" (2010)
This inspirational documentary follows four deaf entertainers: a comic, drummer, actor and a singer as they attempt to cross over to mainstream audiences. These uniquely talented entertainers overcome great challenges to celebrate success.
Netflix has it steaming BTW :)

"And Your Name is Jonah" a 70s movie starring Sally Struthers as the mother. Excellent movie.
