I heard that it was almost like tatanic but maybe different, but I heard here in NC that it was a great movie. It came out a week ago. Haven't seen it, going to when it comes on Movie on Demand. I like to watch my movies at home since it got Close captions. Our movie place doesn't got close captions which it sucks big time but when you see it let me know how it is..

Titanic was a true ship disaster.

Poseidon is fictional. It is a remake of the 1972 movie.

I watched the trailor for poseidon it looks good ,the cast is awesome, josh lucas , kurt rusell ,richard dryfuss ... good actors.

i know titanic was true event.. but the love story was not which pisses me cause they focused more on jack and rose then the actual event. I watched the really old black and white titanic film yesterday.

honestly if 150 foot tidal wave hit a cruise ship there is no way anyone would survive no possible way.

That movie what about "Hollywood" movie. True story or fiction movies can be enjoying to watch. "Titantic" was not really 100% whole true story but hit the icebeg and sank. I will still watching either Titantic and Poseidon anytime.

Better true story? History Channel and Discovery Channel.

i agree iwth u it is just hollywood movie.. just to attract movie comers to watch movies for money! thats all it is..

ditto on history channel and Discovery channel as both have many different true stories. They do show footages of what happened. Very interesting.. I am addicted to watch both of the channels.

Don't worry. I saw on TV (Discovery channel, I think) that tidal waves don't crest on the open seas. They are just swells that rise up while on the ocean. They become deadly waves when they hit land.

Large storm waves can roll a ship. When Hubby was in the Navy, his ship was in some bad ocean storms. The ship didn't roll over all the way but it did roll on its side, so the men were actually walking on the inside bulkheads (walls). After the storm, the ship righted itself.

Updated on seeing movie.
We saw this movie this afternoon. It was good. It was like fictional.
Anyway, in the middle of movie it had tidal waves (big wave which was storm) came and hit. It sank down and it roll overs. Many ppls died and few of ppls survived. This movie is pretty good but not as great. Its my opinion.
