Elvis is Irish???

The Actor is playing Elvis, he is Irish...
He was turned down a lot, but he convince the producer to hired him...

I think Jonathan Rhys-Meyers is cute, he was born in Ireland.

Elvis will come on Sunday and Wednesday on CBS, I think.

Jonathan born July 1977 and Elvis died Aug 1977...
Is it possible Elvis was reincarnated in Jonathan's body???

eh.

I wonder what Elvis' daughter think of this?

but who cares if he's Irish?...even Colin Farewell is Irish and he was on the waiting list to play as James Bond...but didn't quite make the cut anyway.

He was awesome in "DareDevil", indeed.

BULLSEYE!

I don't think Lisa Marie would care because there're a lot of Elvis look-alikes and wannabes. It is all about money, and attention.

Miss*Pinocchio- have you ever been to GraceLand in Memphis? I have back in the early 1980's with my parents when it was just started to open to the public! Would love to go back, but the area is what I disliked and it isn't really safe.

In the early 1990s, I watched a mini-series on TV about Elvis, and the actor who played young Elvis looked a LOT like him! So this guy is not the only actor who looked like Elvis.

I didn't know Elvis sang this song, very beautiful... I watched Elvis documentary on Friday night....

Maybe I didn’t love you
Quite as often as I could have
Maybe I didn’t treat you
Quite as good as I should have
If I make you feel second best
I’m so sorry I was blind

You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind

Maybe I didn’t hold you
All those lonely, lonely times
And I guess I never told you
I’m so happy that you’re mine

Little things I should have said and done
I just never took the time

You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind

Tell me, tell me that your sweet love hasn’t died
Give me, give me one more chance
To keep you satisfied
Because you were always on my Mind

You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my minddddd

Is Graceland the only thing that tourists know about Memphis? To every Memphian Graceland is just another part of town, nothing exciting or interesting, but when someone from out of town comes, they always want to go to Graceland.....

I went when I was 8 years old. All I remember was Elvis' giant gun collection and Lisa Marie wouldn't let anyone go upstairs.

I do believe Elvis was Irish. I'm pretty sure Prestley was an Irish name.

well, sometimes tourists go by Beale Street, home of the blues....
and some stars were from Memphis. And most of the time, memphis is known for MLK jr death, we got Martin Luther King Jr Museum, the Inn... where he was shot at.... we got some other stuff too. We even got Casino at Tunica, 30 minutes drive....

I'm not saying there isn't anything to do in Memphis, but I'm just saying that Graceland is a big deal to tourist, when most Memphians couldn't care less about it.

I do have to be honest though. I think Memphis is a fairly boring town compared to other towns I have visited, like say Atlanta or Nashville.

Memphis has always been an boring town. I think all cities are boring.

Even Paris is boring.

Los Angeles just has some crazy people...

But when ya really wanna quiet life... to me Memphis is a nice quiet place to be for me to relax.

Its not such a bad town, but I just don't see as much excitement here as in other towns I have been to or lived in. I guess it all depends on what excites you. I really enjoy the outdoors, which Memphis doesn't have much to offer except Shelby farms. Chattanooga, on the other hand has so much to offer someone like me.

and I feel someone want to deceive me while I am online...

Can't trust anybody nowadays.

Ford did not held any position in the city (Memphis) government prior to his recent arrest. He was a longtime senator who represented parts of Shelby County. If I remember correctly that his late father was involved in some kind of scandals in Tennessee years ago – while he was a senator before his death.

Yes, but the Ford family is quite notorious when it comes to local politics. I was merely using that as an example of why I am skeptical of local governing bodies. Mayor Herington is another reason.

I understand now. Yeah that family is big in Memphis politics. I grew up hearing about them all the times while living in the Knoxville area.

I didn't remember seeing gun collection there. The upstairs at Graceland is now open to the public. When we first visited Graceland, the hostess (or whatever they are called) said that one of Elvis' relatives (I believed it was an aunt) was living up there at the time. I was like maybe 9 or 10 at the time.

Yup. he ran back in 1999. Came in 3rd against 16 total candidates. Beat out by ole slick Willy of course, and John Ford came in 2nd.

Does the name Prince Mogo ring a bell?

I have met one of the Ford's brother, he was a counselor...
he counselled me about why I ran away from home a lot.

And he married that pretty black light skinned lady who was tv anchor for WMC news.

I think Harold Ford Jr, should be President one day.

I did email Lawler, and he said "Blow It!!!!"
And he did run over the Airport Security Guard's foot...
So no way, Lawler should not be Senate.

Lawler told you to "blow it!?" Wow. Nevermind.

You're right through, I think if there is one decent person in the Memphis area, its Harold Ford Jr.

Elvis Prestley Blvd is considered a bad area of town. I think there is just as much crime in the Whitehaven area, if not in Midtown, Downtown, Frasier, Raleigh, heck, even some of Cordova.
