Smile Favorite Disaster Movies

What are your favorite disaster movie or movies? In the 1970s, disaster movies were popular then and they came in the theaters.

Here are the disaster movies I've seen:

The Posideon Adventure
Earthquake
Titantic
I think I also saw the "Swarm" (about killer bees)

I don't really have a favorite, but I like "The Posideon Adventure", then "Earthquake" is next.

What about you?

The 70's had some of the best IMHO.

The Towering Inferno (by far my fave)
Airport (the opening Snow Removal Scene appeals to my 'big trucks' side)

The Day after Tomorrow is the bestest 'disaster' movie ever I seen.

Deep Impact is good...

Apocalypse rocks! (Bruce Willis is my favorite character so yeah...)

If we can add animes, I would like to add Blue Submarine No. 6 to the list.

Is War of the Worlds considered as 'disaster movie'?

Does car wrecks during a 40 minute-long chase count as a disaster movie?

If it does, I'd nominate the original 1974 "Gone in 60 Seconds". Bad acting, bad filmmaking and bad editing, but the best disaster was over 100 cars wasted in wrecks all over Long Beach!

but then you gotta watch the unfinished version of "Gone in 60 Seconds II". Same bad acting, bad directing, but WORSE editing. However try 400 cars destroyed. I'd consider that a disaster for 25 minutes since it was never completed due to the director being killed when the water tower fell on him during a filming!

visit http://www.halickifilms.com and see what I mean (and I dont think the Nicolas Cage 2000 version does not count as disaster movie)

It's not Apocalypse, it's Armageddon. Also, I'll say War of the Worlds count as a disaster movie since a lot of buildings will be getting demolished!

.__.

That shows how bad I am with movie titles. I almost always got the wrong titles. Anyway yeah, it is Armageddon.

Speaking of War of the Worlds, I thought so... then it is on my list! Thanks, Banjo.

Twister and Armeggedon are the only 2 that come to mind.

I thought The Day After Tomorrow was terrible.

in my opinion, the day after tomorrow sucked but its special effect was FANTASTIC, but the story and background didnt make a sense to me.
