When celebrities height is different than you thought

Just when I thought that Michael J. Fox's height was at 5'6" all this time which is pretty short for a man did I find out that he's actually 5'4" tall! I knew he was shorter than normal height for an adult male but certainly not at 5'4". Maybe it was those movies and tv shows he was in made him look bigger?

Did you ever find out about a celebrity you thought he or she was taller but found out to be shorter than you thought? Strange how those TV shows can change your perspective of people's sizes.

hollywood has been doing that for years. Alan Ladd the actor who played Shane, had to stand on milk crates. also had to walk along plank walkways or co star walking in ditch, to appear taller than his female costars.

it has been said that even claiming 5'6" as Ladd's height, was giving Ladd a few extra inches

in the green mile MCD played john coffey who was suppose to be huge. several of the costars were much taller than MCD. the guy who played the warden was like 5 inches taller than MCD.

James Cromwell is actually 6'7" while Michael Clarke Duncan is 6'5".

Ladd from the old b&w movies? I guess 5'6" is a bit of a concern for many of them when you have leading ladies who are the same or taller.

Well, MCD is 6' 4" and is supposed to play the 7 ft plus character in that movie. I'm sure they had to do some creative camera plays to make him look huge/taller.

I guess being 5'6" as an actor require elevator shoes or standing on crates. Must've taken a lot of creativity to get Fox to look like he's taller than 5'4" to at least 5'6".

Well, I got it off from IMDB.com and I don't know if it's accurate. lol

Tom Cruise's height have been questioned by lot of people - on IMDB, he was listed 5'7". But when I went on Paramount Studio tour, the tour guide said Tom's about the height as he put his hand on doorway - look like 5'5" to me. *shrug*

yeah. that is the problem with the IMDB. it can be editted by anyone. MCD appers ver close in height to a few costar that are about 6 feet tall. like in the whole nine yards. MCD apears to be just a few inches taller than bruce willis and matthew perry. with camera angles a movie illustions you never can tell unles you meet the star in person.

I met Richard Kiel at LV McCarran International Airport years ago. My dad caught the glimpse of him at first, then told me it was him. I approached and wanted to say, it is nice meet you. He was very nice man. He has huge hands and he is very tall in real life. I still have his signature on the piece of paper.

If those of you guys don't know him. He played the Jaws character in two James Bond movies: The Spy Who Loved Me and The Moonraker.
