that's true. i'm just learning how to cope with that now in therapy. it's a difficult process, but i'm doing it.

really? i didn't know that. in that case, i would have rather suffered what i did -- even though *any* form of abuse is terrible and something NO child should have to go through.

you know, i just thought of something. despite how my parents abused me, they brought me up with a strict catholic upbringing since age 5. i *had* to follow certain rules or face strict punishment. while i didn't enjoy the abuse (who would?), i'm glad i was raised the way i was because i at least had parents who cared in the sense that they didn't let me go out and party all night and get wasted or pregnant at age 16.

oh wow. that must have been really tough. i'm sorry to hear that. i was physically, sexually and emotionally abused by my father and emotionally abused by my mother so in a way, i see my sister's treatment of me as an act of kindness. it does get on my nerves sometimes, but it could always be worse i suppose.

now i'm starting to get irritated. i have roadrunner and am waiting for the page to reload so i can edit my last message. grrr.

yep. i'm 38 and sometimes my sister treats me like i'm 16 years old. in a way, i don't mind and would rather have this because i never got this kind of attention from my parents. the only thing i *don't* like is that my sister can be a little TOO overprotective at times.

LOL! you're funny. i must be manic too because i'm wide awake. my sister likes to keep an eye on me and always calls me every night to make sure i don't stay awake past 11 pm. i know she has my best interest at heart, but when i don't want to go to sleep, i don't. did i mention that i LOVE mania? LOL!

someone sounds a little manic right now. LOL!

there's an idea! why not give that a try?
