Yeah, I guess people just don't know what to expect when you wear hearing aids. I only wear one, as the other ear doesn't comprehend speech so people assume I only have a hearing problem in one ear. Things like distortion, etc, just don't occur to them. They also think a ha is a cure, when it is just a tool.

Sorry you have had such a bad time. I understand completely. I work in retail, mostly in the back offices, and dread having to go to the floor. I don't really read lips, more like lip guessing, so it is hard. Customers in a hurry, don't want to hear that though, so I try to stay out of their way. As for the ones that I work with, most of them know about my hearing loss and try to take the time to look at me, but hey..they are human and even my hubby forgets.
