Sorry, thanks for the correction on my bad grammar choice. And we do have emotion, I act in school and have to use my voice to express many emotions, but I still see ASL as just expressive- if not more. This is just my thoughts, and I'm sure that anyone could find contradictions. :)
I'm still a beginner in ASL, I have never had classes but my friend was in the class all this year and I sign with her, and I learn stuff on my own. I have FaceTime on my ipad as well as Skype. I have the biggest trouble with syntax :P please let me know if anyone would like to practice!
