Thank you very much. As of today (Sunday morning), she is still in ICU. She has developed a lung infection. All we can do is keep watch and hope things improve.
I'm not keeping anyone posted because the change is not good. The surgery itself went well, but she keeps fighting with fluid in the lungs. She is having a very difficult time breathing, and as a result, they are keeping her in ICU. They told me this afternoont that she has to stay in ICU over the weekend.
Aww I am so glad! What do u mean it is a bizarre time for your family, if u dont mind my asking.
Excuse for my posts in that one thread but I am so sick and tired of people who have no training or experience in Deaf Ed thinking they can throw out opinions on what works and doesnt work when they have no clue. They do not work with these kids day to day trying to remedy the language deficients they suffered from.
Hi, I am feeling better, not so blue. lol. Allergies are horrible, the ragweed is high. Today my friend is having surgery done on her foot so I am babysitting her 2 year old grand daughter. My friend has two kids that are developmentally disabled, well I say kids and one's older than me. Anyways I used to take care of them, I was like their personal care aid. I loved the job, just hated the 12 hour shifts. I was missing out on life and my grades in college were falling. I have a migraine today that I am trying desperately to get rid of. I think having a 2 year old around will be more fun without a headache. lol. How are you?
Hey! Thanks for the message! She's not doing well. She had a quad bypass and was out of that surgery within 3 hours. The surgery was textbook and went extremely well. However, once after surgery, up until now, she's having trouble breathing. She has fluid in her lungs and has a machine breathing for her. It was frustrating everyone that no one could understand her until she starting signing to me and I told everyone what she was trying to say. That was the only positive light of the whole thing. I'm gonna go visit her again tonight.
lol, I am sorry. I have had days like that. My town is small, I am used to driving short distances and then going to the big city, Tulsa, is kind of annoying because I do not know my way around.
