My parents are mean spirited fundamentalist Xians, and hard core republicans, and they haven't talked to me for more than 10 years. I spend my Thanksgiving and Winter Holiday with friends, many of whom come from similar backgrounds. I have come to realize that family isn't necessarily people who share DNA; but, people who love you, would drive 500 miles and spend their last $$ to help you... that is family. I have a new family made up of wondeful friends.

Just because she is cute doesn't mean Sarah Palin could be a VP. Besides, she's not that cute. Women on All Deaf are much cuter! :-)

So, if you read yesterday's blog you know my bicycle was stolen. I put an ad on Craigslist with a picture of the bike and the serial number, asking people to look for it.

A very nice man contacted me and said he would give me a bicycle! There are some really nice people out there. What can I do to be nice to someone else today? Pay it forward...

I have only bought myself two nice things in the last year: A new bicycle, and a new laptop. I have been riding my bike nearly all the time and everywhere... only driving my car when the trip is a long way. Sometimes I don't drive my car for a whole week. I even have a trailer behind the bike to carry groceries, etc.

Today I watched a group of people finish a project. All the Blacks went one way, the Asians went another way, same for a few Whites. Why group by race? What's up with that?
