Sometimes I don't spoken understand English if people talk fast. I feel really anxious about it. I just don't know what to say. Should I just ask them to repeat themselves, or should I tell them I have trouble hearing them?

I would suggest an "open fit" BTE if it will help enough. I have those for both ears and I like them a lot.

What would y'all like to see as improvements in Deaf ministries in churches or synagogues or other faith communities? What are your "pet peeves?"

People who do not understand Deaf culture can be very silly.

I know Latin, Ancient Greek, English, some Hebrew, studied some French, German, studied a little Old English, ASL and PSE.

Personally I prefer to use a mix of ASL and PSE.

I am going to get my hearing aids reprogrammed in a few days. Would anyone like to share any advice or tips with me?
