When I use it, I don't have a problem seeing the interpreter or seeing myself sign. Yes, the screen is small but it doesn't take up a lot space at my desk. I think it's clear over the small screen. Maybe you can see if there's a return policy on the DVC-2000 - so when you buy it, and you don't like it, you can return it. I'm not sure if it can hook up to a tv - I'm sure it can but would need to look at the manual (if I can find it). Have you thought about VPAD?
