Do any of u all put stickers on your hearing aids? My ugly BTEs (beige w/beige ear molds) now have blue birds and flowers on them :) I thought might as well make them pretty!!

I wonder how often people do that. I use relay sometimes when I dont have access to an amplified phone or Im in a noisy place. I hate to think people would repeat what I say but people are people, and things like that happen. I'm sorry your friend did that and I'm sure it's not easy to decide...

That happens to me and I'm in my late 20s! I have to concentrate really hard to tell what people are saying and then I forget it. It's not that I'm not paying attention so I agree with what this article says except for the part about it only being older people this happens to.

Hi from Ohio - my name is Meredith. I found this site and thought it sounded interesting so I joined. I'm learning ASL and have some hearing loss. I don't know what to call myself though - "hearing impaired" sounds kinda insulting, and "hard of hearing" sounds old fashioned. Any ideas? If not...
