Good A.M. did you survive the 4th or did you let your pyromania get the best of you? It was very quiet here.

Happy 4th of July. Hope you have a good one and definitely be careful of your pyromaniacal tendencies. I wouldn't want you to burn your fingers - you can't type that way!

Part 2 - as for my years of signing, it has been about 5 years. My teacher, who was a friend at the time, would let me sit in on classes that I had already taken and passed just so that I would be able to practice. Now I am going to classes on Saturdays and hope to start at a different college in the fall. Have a great day. Talk to you later. Don't work too hard

Good morning to you too. You are as crazy as I am getting up before the sun. It sounds like you live on a farm, right? Not me. I live in town with 4 cats, 4 dogs and two chickens. I guess you could say I have a mini farm. Or maybe a petting zoo? I work for Child Protective Services, that is how I came to know the two deaf kids. At times my job can be very difficult emotionally, but most of the time it is very rewarding.

Yes I do know deaf people in this area. At one time I was good friends with my ASL teacher and he was deaf, there are several people from class that are deaf, and there are the kids I work with. Not a lot, but expanding. If you think a chihuahua has a lot of poo, try a Lab. We are talking serious landmines here. How old is you dog?

You are too funny. I do understand the doggy dance though, I have four dogs myself. Two are big guys and stay outside and two are small and stay inside. When I was a kid I read a book about Helen Keller and that actually got me interested in sign language. Then a few years ago, a friend talked me into going to college and I noticed they offered sing 1 and 2, so I started going. They only offer 1 and 2 and the local college, so I have to drive about an hour to the one I am going to on Saturdays. I want to continue in the fall, but I have to find out if my job will cooperate with me on leaving early or even letting me do an internship. I would love to become an interpreter for the courts eventually. If I get certified, then I can be considered bi -lingual at work which means better pay. As it is now, they use my services for free.

I'm doing great.  Yeah, gas is out of sight, isn't it?  I try not to drive my car at all if possible.  Have been riding my bike to and from work.  Usually that is great, but with all the smoke it's not fun. As for the class I am taking, it is ASL and way too far away for me to ride my bike. DARN. Have a great day.

Hello katie2d, "butterbomb" was a military slang word dating back to World War 2. "Butterbomb" originated from the bombing campaigns in Europe. It meaned that a bomb didn't hit its intended target. It was like having the bomb slipped away from your fingers at the wrong moment hence the word "butterbomb". I just added the word "mad" to it because, um well, it sounds just very catchy. Thanks for asking. Ciao.
