I'm not sure I know where Portageville is, but I too wish we were closer so I could learn ASL a little easier. We are just outside of St. Louis and will be moving to the Tupelo, MS sometime around 3/2010.

I have a few books, ASL for Dummies, The American Sign Language Phrase Book by Lou Fant, and the Galludet Survival Guide to Signing. I also use the ASL University online and have used ASL PRO when I needed something specific.

Hey, husbands family is from Portageville, I replied then thought of direct. I am still so new to this page/site. ASL is not that hard, more of a memory to the signs that help then everything else builds from there. I teach free classes at my church, wish you were closer I would invite you to Say it with Sign!
