I live on Oahu, and for practical reasons will probably remain on this island for quite some time, however, I dream about moving to one of the less crowded and equally beautiful outer islands some day. I get to see my boyfriend tomorrow! I am super excited. On Sunday I am participating in the Terry Fox Run. I'm looking forward to it!

Christmas days at my house are extremely relaxed. We do everything on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day. It's nice.
There are problems going on at work again. I have a new supervisor and she is just like the other one. I got assigned too much work that wasn't mine, and then I said I don't have time to do it and she basically said, "well do it." and then assigned me more. Blah. It's Thursday! Two more days of work and then freedom!

It was payday today for me...so getting my nails done is sounding tempting.

I don't think I could take that heat! I'm sure my family would love it though. They all think I'm crazy because I love winters here so much. It can go to minus 45 degrees celsius on really cold days.

I've only had my nails done once and it was by a student.. it took a really really long time. I did a French manicure on myself with glitter for a top coat and I loved it.
I haven't even thought about the holidays LOL. I will be though. I might just give everyone art this year. I'm not sure.
I've never had a job in art but I had my own exhibition last summer and participated in some group shows. I got to paint a mural for a store I used to work at and they took it down because it looked "unprofessional".
My house has to be cleaned almost everyday too because of all our pets. Is it always hot there? It's starting to cool down here and I love it. It's sweater weather.

And thank you for the compliments on my art! I really need to get back into it on a regular basis. I used to paint everyday.

The turkey's name is Cranberry. A parent from my mom's art camp named him. When I messaged my stepdad to say he came back, he said, "Hooray! Thanksgiving is saved!" So bad..hehe. We definitely are not going to eat him though. We think he ate something funny. He is still acting weird.

Work yesterday was crazy busy. There's a woman who works in reception, who is also a coordinator. Usually coordinators only have one master station they look after, and she has two. She's super overworked and was really angry about the positions just being given away. I booked a week off in November, so I am thinking I might go to Montreal for a day or something. My anniversary is that week too. Then the rest of the week I will paint and not think about work.

I got back from my uncle's yesterday afternoon. I did laundry, took my nap and I worked on a drawing for my boyfriend's parents. Today I work, but I work noon to eight Monday to Friday, so it's not like I have to wake up super early. I still wake up early though.. haha. When I get more seniority, I can go to the day shift. I have been looking at other jobs though. I saw one for a medical assistant. If it pays more than this I will totally go for it. I'll have to fix up my resume. At work it seems like they just give positions away without letting people apply (I don't really think that's fair).

We have a pet turkey (I live on a hobby farm) who went away for almost 3 days. My mom thought he got eaten, I thought he went to a turkey brothel. He ended up coming back yesterday and he looks hungover. LOL He was just sitting there. Usually he's happy and follows people around.

I think I'm going to go have some breakfast!

Yeah? Maybe that's what it is. I've been a bit stressed out lately. I had really great nap today! I had lots of fun with my boyfriend. We just watched TV and were lazy. Did you have a good weekend?

Awesome! I don't know many people with birthdays in January either! I hope you recover and get well rested soon. My uncle has 3 dogs. Literally they lay all over me AND the cat too. It's a bit much but they're cute. I'm not a big dog person but they're super well trained so it's okay. I'll try to send a photo soon! I have no idea why I haven't been sleeping well. I can't stay asleep long enough or go back to bed once I wake up.
