    Hello Bellinda
That is great news that the Meniere's is in remission lets hope it stays that way for many years to come. I also think your doing the right thing by holding off with the CI surgery when the hearing aids are still giving you some hearing as you know its major surgery. For myself I have adjusted well to being totally deaf over the year and learnt how to read lips and thats an on going thing. Going deaf is not the end of the world and rally not all that bad it could be worse as your hearing slowly goes you know and need to prepare your self for the deaf world. Learn sign language and how to lipread are very imprortant steps to make if there available in your area as they are not here for me. Another thing to consider is a Hearing Ear Dog you can apply for 1 or even train your own there are books to help with that and get your dog certified.
Anyhow, all the best to you and take care

    Don

Hello its been a while since I have seen you on and I just wondered how your Meniere's symptoms where. I do hope your living a dizzy free life these days more than I can say for myself but life does go on. I thought I would let you know I am on the surgical waiting list here in Ontario for my MED-EL implant. But for the meen time I have received a Hearing Ear Dog to help me out and make my life safer. Well you take care and I hope to hear from you soon Don
