After being implanted it made mine much worse. Very loud. If I had not had tinnitus most of my life then I dont think I would have been able to handle it.

They called me this morning and told me they resceduled the meeting Tomorrow and what do you know... they found me a terp.Isn't that something...lol... WE will see how tomorrow goes'

I think that is my problems. After being profoundly deaf for 30 years. (And not wearing hearing Aides)Im just having a hard time adjusting to noised I'm not use to hearing. It's like there is always noise when it is turned on and im use to mostly silence except for the tinnus.

I have a letter that i sent to the school board, teacher, princeable ,and The special Education Department ( 2months Ago) Telling them from this point on that i will need an Terp for all future meetings and that involved My Childs IEP or 504 plan. I had a terp for the 2nd IEP appeal meeting...

I requested a terp for myself for the Child I'm raising First IEP setup. I gave them plenty of notice. And today they say That they can't get me a terp ( CART) for 2 weeks and they will not postpone the meeting tomorrow because they have to have it by June 10th. I'm at lost on what to do...

I haven't posted in a while. although i'm only 6 months implanted. It just hasn't clicked with me. i find myself having to turn it off to try to understand what people are saying almost like it confuses things for me.. My audi says at some point it all should start comming togeither. I hope so.

i would wait... seems to me a few months ago someone posted about a baby who needed one come to find out the baby really didn't. do your research but would hold off for a while.

With cases like that based on assumptions.... a good defense attorney can easily get that case thrown out or reduced to something trivial. It's best for cops to catch them in act for a slam-dunk case. Prosecutor hates working on cases with weak evidence... which is why there are plea bargain...
