Hi deafdude, it seems you are very knowledgeable on stem cell. As you know I have unliteral cochlear implant. I don't plan on getting on another one until I came across AD and saw you posting about stem cell.

So I have the spare ear which I will be able to get a stem cell.

Hi my name is Nicole, I have a young son who was born deaf, he is not a candidate for a CI and His doctor put him on the short list for the brain stem op and then cancelled befor we were even told about it because it is to dangerous I was wondering if this was the same thing that you were talking about, if not would you please tell me a little about stem cells, I am going to look it up but some times I understand things better when real people explain things. Thank you and good luck with your stem cells.

And human cases, including Richard Humphries, 54. Mr. Humphries, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, intractable pain and hearing loss, who underwent a series of cord blood and fat tissue stem cell transplants in Costa Rica (Fat derived stem cells are specific to treating MS). According to one newspaper account: http://www.thetowntalk.com/article/2...ORTS/909010331
"In February, Humphries underwent another experimental stem cell treatment to regrow inner ear nerve hairs. It not only improved his hearing but helped him tolerate heat, which can be a problem for people with MS."

About Me

  • Signature
My reasons for choosing stem cells over CI are numerous. Many thousands have gotten stem cells for all conditions with 90% success rate. I have emailed/contacted stem cell centers, read articles, did my research and know the facts. Chloe got such good results she can hear well without HAs! My hearing loss is the same in both ears. Recent audiogram: 125Hz=55db, 250Hz=70db, 500Hz=90db, 750Hz=110db, 1000Hz-8000Hz=NR at 110db. I discuss my deafness and stem cells in my blog

I was born with a symmetrical bilateral profound sensorineural hearing loss. The below audiogram shows my unaided hearing loss. I plan to get evaluated again soon and provide my most recent unaided as well as aided results. I probably will have an aided score of 20db in the low frequencies thanks to my Phonak Naida V UP hearing aids.

125Hz-65db
250Hz-70db
500Hz-90db
750Hz-105db
1000Hz-110db
1500Hz-110db
2000Hz-115db
3000Hz-115db...
