    My understanding is thinking is not language based. Thinking is more of being aware, consciousness, and having ideas and imagination.

    it hard to explain deaf think different,if profoundly deaf and never had hearing then things like metaphors simerli wasted words,tend to be blunt,one sign could have many meanings so you got get in that mind set.i can not think as blind person and if blind and deaf different again..in many ways it easier to be profound than h.of h you know where you are..if you never hear bird sing then you can not explain to another so you dont waste time trying you take it from different perspective...i have been from perfect hearing to none and as years gone on i think very differently than did then.if you go to deaf club you see what i mean...not sure if i making myself clear or not,but i tried
    oh and i not clue how to work this site properly therefore so 4give if it all in wrong place
