Hello ASL student, I am in the UK like you I am learning to sign ( BSL ) british sign language, I have got quite afew of the signs but like your self I need lots more practice before I become any good or confident at signing, and also like you I need the signer to sometimes finger spell what they have just signed, I have a friend who is totally deaf and he helps me out now and again. Dont worry about being new to e mailing and chatting over the internet it will soon come as second nature to you.

Hello there supersonic, thanks for asking me to be your friend. I really enjoy signing, however I need more practice. I am a hearing person and I feel really awkward when I try to sign sometimes, only because I don't know all the signs and I have to get the person to fingerspell. I practice on the computer as much as I can, and I invite people in to my gift shoppe with a welcome sign in ASL, I get a few people stopping in but not enough. I am telling you all this because I want to get to know the person I befriend a little bit obviously. I am totally new at this e-mail chat thing,so bear with me please.
