I live only 20 min away from Rocklin. I went through the application process for UC Davis' PhD program last semester, but my husband did not want me in school for another 6 years, so we decided on the MA program at CSUS (Sac State). That's where I go now. I also teach a freshman English class there at Sac State this semester. CSUS has a great English Masters program, so I'm not too upset about not going to Davis, but Davis was my personal first choice. Your daughter is going to get a great education!

I would love to meet up with you for coffee or something. It must be very hard for you to communicate with others without hearing or ASL. Do you use some type of RTC system? How many classes of ASL have you taken? You should definitely keep taking ASL classes. I am just starting to really understand it, and it is already helping me so much!

Thanks for all the information. Your so nice. I really don't know how to use this website so sorry if I did not respond right away. I got really sick in May of this year with a serious blood infection called Sepsis and then while in the hospital had two large seizures which caused brain swelling. However, I was deaf even before the ambulance arrived. The noise is so loud. Like a compressor. If I move my head it gets worse. I just need to find out if this is from being deaf, or brain issues. doctor seems to suggest ear problems. I'm afraid to have CI surgery since I was in the hospital for a month. Not my favorite place and unfortunately seem to have bad luck when it comes to health. You really helped me and I appreciate it very much. Love from California
