Yeah, I was born with RP and profoundly deaf. My doctor found it out that I has RP when I was 15. It scared me. I was so depress and can't drive.

Hi. I have a Retina since I was born. My RP isn't real bad one. It's not getting worse. What is yours? I can see anything during daytime. I can't see the dark at night. How did you become an usher syndrome?

I should clarify...My CI center gives those who have one CI two processors and those who have two CIs four processors.

My guess is they do it in case one (or both) of your processors need to be sent in for an exchange.

I have a Nucleus 24 Contour Advance (Cochlear)CI for my left ear and the Nucleus Freedom (Cochlear) CI for my right ear. My CI center gives us 4 processors, so I have two 3Gs and two Freedoms.

Hi! I am new here. I'm from Oregon. I'm 21 years old, attend to college. I have Usher Syndrome. I speak very well with two cochlear implants. The first cochlear implant when I was three and half years old. The second one when I was 17 years old. I cannot wear the hearing aids because they don't work for me.
