I am me, I'm down-to-earth, adventurous, fun, loyal, I would want the person to know me as me.

What a great post!! My girlfriend and I are having issues now. She has mentioned that I need a good self-esteem to be in a relationship. I didn't like to hear this, but she is right. You cannot really have a successful relationship if your self-esteem is whacked.

You should also:

---don't be possessive. She is a human with thought and feeling, not a toy.
---demonstrate loyal, understanding, and patient traits as they pertains to a relationship.
---just be yourself. You don't have to press or fill in gap to satisfy other people.

That's true what your gf said about having a healthy relationship must like who you are before, you can love another person.
