Hi Everyone !!! I am new here and have an question for everyone on this site !!

How many people on this site are married or engaged to their better half? Also is your better half deaf?

The reason why I am asking this because I have made an decision since high school that i would never date or marry hearing mens only deaf. However, I am not meeting deaf guys who are on the right path such as being edcuated or own their home or cars or even working. Therefore, I am wondering if I am limiting myself !! Never really had issues finding a man but finding a GOOD Man was always the issue. THanks !!!

I'm married to a sighted-hearing woman. I'm deafblind myself. It's the best thing that's ever happened to me. Love is love. When you love someone, it doesn't matter if they can hear or see or not.

I understand ur dilemma....I, too, looked high & low for a deaf partner, to no avail. Education/communication was the problem.

So I married hearing....and divorsed later.

A good man is hard to find....but they are out there. Good luck!

Was married to a hearing man...divorced him seven years later. Now married to HOH and I've never been happier. I don't think it matters if the person can hear or not...but if that person can respect your deafness and can communicate well. That's what counts.

My girlfriend is deaf and she is the best girl I've ever met.

As long as you and that person can get along, be the best of friends and more. Communication is very important, if no communication and making it a one way thing its not good. Both people need to be attentive to each other, if you get into with each other always , forgive and forget

Love goes beyond being deaf, hearing, etc..
