About 4, but I try to do less if it's with one of those powder deodorant, I always get little deodorant balls... I prefer gel.

Once a day. I always apply it after a shower.

I always use rub-on products. I would say 3 to 5 swipes per armpit.

Depends on the size of the deodorant stick. A regular-sized deodorant lasts at least a month. I used to use Old Spice, one of their big-sized sticks would last me 3 to 5 months at a time. However, I switched to a different brand recently, so I don't know yet since it has been around a month so far.

I used to use Old Spice for years and years until last month. I started using Tom's of Maine Long Lasting Deodorant (Unscented). I often come across "unscented" products and they still do have a scent, however this one does not. I was surprised. The problem is, I am sensitive to most deodorants, I often get some kind of skin irritation. For instance, Speed Stick, Right Guard, etc. Anything you name, I usually get a reaction to them. Old Spice was one that I could use without developing a severe skin irritation. But I had to be cautious because I can't apply it more than once a day or I'll pay for it.

Old Spice was not white nor gel, it was somewhat clear-like but with a deep blue shade. Tom's of Maine is white though, but so far, it doesn't leave any white-like powder on your clothes like some of the white deodorants do.

I've used Old Spice for at least 10 years until last month. I decided to switch from Old Spice to Tom's of Maine. So far, I am very happy with my decision because I have gotten no skin irritation at all and I do feel clean all day long. This is a different product compared to the others because this one is more natural. They don't test their products on animals. They share every ingredient, its purpose and its source. There are no artificial colours, flavours, fragrance or preservatives. Unlikely all of the other popular products out there.

Banjo's post made me wonder about Tom's of Maine. I always kind of assumed it wouldn't work because it is all natural.

But now I have ordered some so I can try it. It will be much healthier if it works for me.

I've used Tom's of Maine deodorant and toothpaste and both have worked for me. Switched to Alba Botanica <another "natural" product> for deodorant because it ended up costing a little less. What i have is Alba Botanica "clear enzyme" un-scented with aloe and baking soda. hypoallergenic...product from Hain Celestial Group.

I usually use it once a day unless I take a shower mid-day after intense work-out, when I would re-apply-

Only once as experimentation. Deodorant washes off while in the shower anyway, so I apply new batches - and yes, I shower every day.

Depends. Usually twice a day, once after workout and once in the morning/evening... always after showering.It depends on what I'm planning on doing for the day. If I'm expecting a long heavy-duty day, I'll do 10 swipes. If I'm expecting a short or light-duty day, I'll do 5 swipes. For instance, I get up in the morning and am going to the state fair all day... that's 10 swipes. I'm just going to the mall for a couple hours and then come back home to watch television... that's 5 swipes. It usually lasts a month, depending on how often I use it.Degree for Men... I usually buy them in packs of twos and alternate fragrances each time.It's white. I used to use the roll on kind years ago... Dry Idea for Men... didn't like it. Switched to the clear solid kind... Speed Stick... worked okay for a bit. Switched to the spray kind... didn't stick with this kind long. Switched to the gel kind... Gillette... worked okay for a bit, but it was messy. Switched back to the clear solid kind again... Old Spice or Speed Stick... liked it better than the gel kind. Finally switched to the solid white kind... Degree for Men... been using it since.The one I'm using now... Degree for Men... since 2000 or 2001. The other kinds I used always left a permanent hard stain in my clothes. I only change fragrances, but not the brand or kind. The other deodorants I used in the past never worked as well as the one I use now. They sometimes left me sweating halfway through the day, they would melt in the car on a hot day, they wouldn't last long, etc. That's why I'm sticking with what I am using now because it has far exceeded my expectations compared to the others I used in the past.

One resident in my school dorm often rolled the deodorant with ball type right before his bedtime and he ensured the he rolled it five times by counting it.

Sure it irritated his roommates with very strong odor when they tried to sleep. At one time, one of his roommates and he ended up in a HUGE fight over it. Most of my fellow residents and his roommates cheered for the roommate in the fight that he won easily because we already complained to our dorm counselors over his excessive usage of deodorant and wrong timing.

The Vice-Principal of dormitory ordered him not to do it again and do it every morning.

I don't know if you are aware of this, but anti-perspirant deodorants aren't supposed to be applied to your armpits on a daily basis. The reason for this is due to the fact that sweating is a way of releasing the toxins from your body. If you apply the anti-perspirant deodorant to it everyday, it prevents your body from releasing the toxins, what happens instead is that the toxins will accumulate within the body. Aluminum is also a real concern since it has been linked to cancer and several diseases including Alzheimer's.

I dont use deodorant, I use anti-perspirant. deodorant masks the smell but doesn't stop the perspiration.

The one I'm using, Tom's of Maine, it doesn't have any. I used to use Old Spice deodorant products and it doesn't mention the word at all in the ingredients. I don't know if they do, but if they did, they are supposed to list it anyway. I don't use anti-perspirant deodorant because they close up the pores and cause your glands to swell.
