AH, sure miss the A&W Drive-Ins. I used to go there all the times, but the chain had faded away in much of Tennessee in the 1980's. I think A&W's is really big in the west costal area and Canada (I recently ate there). I read somewhere that Sonic Drive-Ins bought A&W out years ago but I don't know if that is a fact.

Aww...I surely missed that place....I remember we were so young and we used to go there almost every day....Love their Rootbeer in a bug MUG....I wonder if that place is still open in Akron..its been so long since I've been to AW Drive-in.....Sure was a Good Memories...Would Love to go again.....bring back the old days!....

Actually, Pepsi-Cola does not own Dr. Pepper at all - Both of Pepsi and Coca-Cola produce the soft-drinks. But I still feel that way cuz pepsi and dr. pepper often on sale at same time at the grocery and many reasons. Pepsi did not own DP but in my heart tell me it is.

Very True....I 've always thought Dr Pepper was own by Pepsi Company...And I still believe its from Pepsi.....otherwise it wouldn't been on sale with the pepsi group.....I feel the same way as Lasza..

well to each his own, we all have our preferences..I do like Root beer especially A&W! When i was in high school, we all used to hang out at A&W
drive in! it was a cool place to hang out but it kinda faded out in the 80's then the last time i heard it closed down..awww! I havent been to my hometown in a long time so didnt know that. Ahem...thats the drive in where i met my ex-fiance! It was a great memory but when we broke up, it turned into a sad memory for me....

Here in most parts of the Atlanta area and northern Georgia, Dr. Pepper/Seven Up is produced and distributed by the Coca-Cola members. In some parts of Georgia, Indiana, Alabama, Carolinas and Tennessee are produced and distributed by the Pepsi-Cola members. I can't remember while in Toronto if Dr. Pepper/Seven Up is produced and distributed by Cadbury Schweppes (or just Schweppes) members.

I tried to do research on Coca-Cola and Pepsi-Cola distributors but I did not get much in return - oh well!
