My favorite is made at home in cold weather and very easy.

Heat oven 250 degrees

In dutch oven with lid put:

1 pound small cubes sirloin steak

1 pound bag frozen mixed vegetables

6 cups beef boullion

1 bay leaf

Put that in the oven and just leave it for 5 or 6 hours.

Remove the bay leaf and serve.

This is my favorite soup and a favorite winter meal.

Oh gosh!

I love homemade soup! YUMMY!

I make:
Chili
Chicken Noodles
Calm Chowder
Beef stew (not for me, for my hubby)
Veggie soup (haven't try to make one yet)

I wanted to learn how to make homemade tomato soup. I always buy a can one and add milk in it. Yummy! Perfect to have a grilled cheese and dip in it! MMM! My son loves that!

For restaurant, it is depend on my mood if I want a soup or not.

OFC we eat soup in the winter time. Keep us warm!

tomato soup & good old-fashioned chicken broth is my favorite soup to make!

For Pinky & Lake Tahoe: I tried several tomato recipes last year and decided this was my favorite...

Tomato Soup

4 cups tomatoes, chopped
1 slice onion
4 whole cloves
2 cups chicken broth

Add to stockpot over medium heat. Bring to Boil. Gently boil 20 minutes. Run mixture through juicer or food mill

2 T butter
2 T flour

Melt butter in emptied stockpot over medium heat.
Stir in flour until roux is medium brown
Gradually whisk in a bit of tomato mixture
Stir in remaining mixture.

Season with ½ teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon white sugar
----------
Friday's pitch-in at work is going to be tomato soup & grilled cheese sandwiches. I am so excited!
