6 Reasons to Drink Wine - Health.com

Drink wine is common in many European countries. The doctors advised their patients who have heart problem, to drink red wine moderately. I drink a glass of wine at most weekends... sometimes on dinner table...

wines are good, only in moderation, like 1-2 glasses a day that is if you red drinkingit everyday.
i dont drink wine now, i used to have a bit now and then or in weekends, sometime during the week nights dinner but my budget was the main limiting factor......
i loved most sorts of wines, favourites being shiraz, viogner, sauvignon blanc, riesling, chardonnay and oh yes, zinfandel.

aussie makes the best shiraz, french for cabernets , boudeux, and beajolais and germans made excellent gwerztraminer (sp?) bottle not here and they also made world class rieslings.

spanish, argentinaians, south african, chilian, and greek wines are real mixed bags, some are horrid, some are brillient.....most are cheap so it really a lucky dip

oh
red wines can be bad for those with tinnitus ( i have that problem- mines quite bad) so I have to be real careful with reds, in fact i stay away from reds as much as i can.. although i LOVE the top notch shriaz and californian zins !!, but since i had to avoid those i discovered the whites can and ARE brillent too, just stay away from the boring (cosy) chardonnay or sauvignon blancs , in other words dont be shy to try the really fruity and spicy wines, you'd be surprsed, these are not like the 'wine coolers' that was in fashion in the late 80's whose are quite shoddy to say the least (if you're a seasoned wine taster)

i find its safest to go 2-3 glasses then water for while

i know people relys on wine for everyday as a 'addition' to dinner i think thats dangerous, its a subtle subtle form of alcholism in developement, well most people dont realise this and they'd often downplay it.... so just watch it !!

thats all,

Cheers

It's all in moderation.

Drinking too much wine isn't good for your health.

Drink a glass of wine a day, and you'll be fine.

Indeed, It's all about balancing your intake with the alcohol.

I like drinking Chardonnay or White Zinfandel from time to time.

Same here. When I do have a drink, it is usually a glass of red wine. But I detest champagne....it gives me an immediate headache as is far too sweet. I like the taste of a Mimosa (champagne and orange juice), but the champagne in it still gives me a headache!

'Nuff said! A good drink probably saves your sanity and protects your students at the same time, LOL.

Make that three of us! I rarely drink, but when I do I like a zinfadel. I also like a mimosa once in awhile, too. As for champagne, I'm with Jillio! Gives me a wicked headache!

My favorite alcoholic beverage is Kahlua and milk, though. An oz of Kahlua to about 3 oz of milk. Yummy!

It seems that wine, not other alcohol beverages is acceptance in the Conservative Christian community. If they weren't, why did they serve wine in Church - you know the small glasses with cracker bits - I cannot think what it is right now.

I believe my grandmother drinks red wine for health purposes, not for enjoyment.
