Morels

Have anyone eat this one before? It's very very good! Part of mushroom group.

Of course, it only appear at market only in in spring.

It's very expensive, cost about $60 per pound.

What the hell? I have never heard of this one before -- if you have sampled it before, what does it taste like....? Anywhere like normal mushrooms? heheh..stupid question, I know...still I want to know the answer.
As for the price............Holy CRAPOLA! Why is it SO expensive? Is it such a rare delicacy?

Hahahaha....you WISH! If that was ever true, I'd buy a pound or more of it and gobble it all up and see how it is like being hearing.

Good thing is I hate mushrooms!! I did try to taste dark caviar one time. My roommate left a tiny flat jar of caviar in the refrigator. I sneaked up and take a few of tiny eggs for tasting. Hmm.. not bad. I am . LOL

You don't like MUSHROOOOOOOOMS??? I LOooooooooooooove mushrooms.....yum! I must have it practically with everything I have for dinner,

Of course, the other 'shrooms you mean? The ones that give you hallunications and the drunken feelings? I wasn't impressed on the texture nor the taste of the 'shrooms, but still I was determined to get the high I desired at the time!

Yes, it only grow in spring time at the place where after forest burning.

It's hard to grown in farm or on your own home. That's why it's rare.

Ahh, understandable...but still at that price, not a lot of people could afford that. I'm curious to try it but I won't be able to for ages until unless I win the bloody lottery!

And to add that the pigs are the animals the people use to sniff up truffles underground. They can smell them pretty well.

I'm lucky, I live in the land of shrooms. I used to have them on my farm. You can buy them here for $30.00. I know that's still ridiculous but it's half of what you guys have been quoting. You have to go out at daylight to find them because the animals love to eat them too.

There's a lot of wild mushrooms in the wet forests of the West US, too. I don't pick them because I don't know what is poisionous or edible. I saw a few mushrooms popping out right outside of the apartment complex last year.
